yeah, college starts soon. luckly for me, i have no classes on fridays. 3-day
weekend each week! on the other hand, i am packed Mon-Thurs. i have to go soon
to find out what books i need to buy.
i will miss sleeping in late but what i will miss most is working on the house.
this whole summer i have been doing house projects and i have had a lot of fun.
working with new tools, learning new things...i will miss all that.
did you guys know that James Cameron(director of Titanic) is making a movie
based on the popular manga Battle Angel Alita? it's going to be called Battle
Angel and it's supposed to come out sometime in 2007. i just found this out
today. the most surprising thing was that the director of Titanic is directing
this. just by knowing that i can just imagine how popular this movie will be. i
have noticed that more and more hollywood films are being made based on mangas.
i can't wait for Battle Angel to come out!

no, unfortunately I get no money for my practical training... It would
definitely be a motivator but I'm glad to have the opportunity to get an insight
into such a grand hotel and none of those pay their trainees here. Well, it's
just for three months, so I think I'll manage.
hopefully it won't be bad.
i won't get paid either until the semester starts. so, until late august, i'm
working for free. oh well.
Quote by InitialR26I love GTO!
Everytime Onizuka wrecks Uchiyama's car is great! When they finally get Aizawa
to join the group (in the manga) is my favorite part

I'm not good at computer things either
But I think you'll manage this! I keep my fingers crossed for you.
But you surely have a few days off, too, haven't you?
thanks for the support.
i already had my time off. my college ended in mid May and i started research in
mid June. so i had about a month off. i spent most of that time with my friends.
now it's back to work. i also have a pretty flexible schedule for research. my
professor is nice and said that i can choose my own hours as long as i complete
a certain number of hours a week.
are u getting paid for your practical training? is your training just for the
summer?
Quote by Lura-Sharal
well, I think the exams were okay ^^ but I'll have to wait for the results
(which will be announced in september) to be sure...
I'll pass my practical training at the 5-star Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Berlin because
I'm studying international business administration with a main emphasis on hotel
and tourism management
What are you doing over the summer?
cool, a 5-star hotel in Berlin...sounds fun. it must be really crazy in Germany
right now because of the world cup.
over summer, i'm doing research with a professor at my college. my first
assignment to make a small program but i don't know any programming. he told me
to learn C in about 2-3 weks. so, that's what i've been doing. i hate computer
programming. i'm so bad at it. once i learn it, i'll start the actual research.
research is pretty much all i'll be doing over my summer.

^^ well I just finished my semester finals and now my 3-month-long practical
training is going to start next monday. I'm already a little nervous ^.^ I hope
I'll do well.
how were your finals and what kind of practical training? what are u studying?
the movie is #1 in the box office in japan. people who have watched it said that
it was pretty good. it ends in a cliffhanger. there will be another movie coming
out in nov. i hope it's good. i really want to see it. i'm hoping that one of
the fansub groups will pick it up.
as far as the manga ending goes, it wasn't bad. it just wasn't good enough. i
didn't want kira to die.

death note anime has been announced but no release date has been given yet.
Also, a novel version of death note is supposed to come out in August. The novel
is not written by Ooba (he wrote the story for the manga), but instead Ishin
Nishio is writting it.
i can't wait for the anime to come out. i hope they adapt it well from the
manga.
if the novel comes out in english, then i will buy it. i have never heard of
Ishin Nishio but hopefully he's a good writer.

Okay, I went to FanimeCon this weekend and they had some manga thing called GTO:
The Early Years (Or something to that effect). Has anyone read this one?
yeah, i've heard of it. there's also another name forthe manga: Shonan
Junai-gumi. it's about Onizuka and Ryuji back in the day of their biker gang.
thre is also another manga that's a prequel to this and that's called: Bad
Company. Bad Company is about Onizuka during junior high. i haven't read either
one of them but i've heard that Bad Company is better than Shonan Junai-gumi.
has anyone read the manga Tokko? it's by the same author as GTO, Tohru Fujisawa.
Tokko anime recently came out as well. i haven't read the manga or started
watching the anime. i was wondering if someone reccomends it. the manga doesn't
seem to be too popular. has anyone read it? if so, what did u think of it? i'm
considering reading it but i don't know if its any good.
this group is really dead. come on people! wake up!

i wonder as well. this group goes quiet for about 1-2weeks and then it becomes active again for 1-2weeks. it's quite odd.
